Caroline Kilpatrick Obituary

Caroline Louise Johnson Kilpatrick, 71, of Seneca, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on March 22, 2026 surrounded by love. Born on March 22, 1955, in Walterboro, South Carolina, Caroline lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Caroline was a proud graduate of Abbeville County Schools and continued her education at Bennett College. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving others as a Social Worker with the Department of Social Services. Through her work, she touched countless lives, offering care, guidance, and advocacy to those in need.

A woman of deep faith, Caroline was a devoted member of New Galilee Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School Teacher, Secretary, and choir member until her health no longer allowed. Her commitment to ministry and community left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

At the center of Caroline’s life was her family. She was a loving and devoted wife to Bruce Kilpatrick and a proud, devoted mother to her daughter, Jessica Kilpatrick. She cherished her role as a sister to Michael Williams (Carolyn), Edward Buckner, Jr. (Robin), and Roderick Buckner. She was also a beloved aunt, niece, and friend, sharing a special bond with her Aunt Gladys Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, John A. Johnson and Jessie Oliver Johnson.

Known for her kind and loving spirit, Caroline was also no-nonsense, resilient, and incredibly strong—a true fighter with a determined heart. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially watching her favorite “stories,” including Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless, General Hospital, and most recently, Beyond the Gates.

Caroline’s life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and deep devotion to family that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
