John Willie Moore

John Willie Moore was born on August 13, 1935 to the late Johnnie and Clara Gilbert Moore. He was the only living child born to this union. He entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Wayne Anthony Moore and grandson Jonathan Anthony Caldwell.
John completed his early education from Oconee County ( East End) Training School. He furthered his education by attending South Carolina Area Trade School-Denmark Branch now known as Denmark Technical College where he completed a course of study in Brick Masonry on May 20, 1960. 
Upon receiving his degree he took that knowledge and applied it to his first professional job by installing a brick fireplace for the home place.
After graduation, he worked 30 years for Sangamo Electric Company. He provided janitorial services to the following businesses or churches. Trinity Baptist Church-40 years, St. Mark United Methodist Church, Ace Hardware Administrative Office and McLauren Law, LLC.
John was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where he served as deacon for over 50 years. He also served as a member of the Senior Choir, Brotherhood, Ministry, Usher Board, Trustee Board, Men Ministry, and was a Van Driver for the Bus Ministry. He was the Treasurer for Union # 2 of the Seneca River Association. In addition he was a member of the Seneca Masonic Lodge #204, Prince Hall affiliation for over 36 years. Where he and his son joined together.
On June 4, 1966 he was united in holy matrimony to Jenetta Hunter Moore. To this beautiful union three children were born.
He leaves to carry on his legacy and fond memories, his wife of 59 years Jenetta , their children : Wanda Moore Caldwell( Tony) of Moore, SC and Dr, Kelvin John Moore ( Tara) of Bowersville, GA;  five grandchildren Tony Caldwell, Jr - Moore SC, Tiahna Moore - Bowerville, GA, Shajuan Mayfield( Amber) -  Georgetown, DE , Tye’Resha Oglesby and Darius Mayfield - Lavonia, GA.

The Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1 pm- 2 pm in the M.J.G Memorial Chapel, Gilbert Mortuary. 

A Wake Service will be at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 502 E. S. 2nd Street, Seneca 29678, from 3pm - 5pm.

The Funeral Service will on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 1pm, Trinity Baptist Church, 504 S. Oak Street, Seneca SC, 29678. Burial will follow at  Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 150 Pleasant Hill Circle, Westminster SC, 29693. Burial will follow.
