Obituary
Sister Lila Mae Poole entered this life on Tuesday, June 12, 1928, as the fourth child of the Late Leonard and the Late Lottie Moss Poole in Westminster, South Carolina. After the death of her mother, Leonard married Laura Lucille Rutledge Poole. Their family included three daughters, Ruth, Mildred and Lila and 2 sons James and George Poole.
She loved her family and accepted God early in her life and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Westminster, SC. Lila was a faithful member that served as Head Usher for Fifty plus years, often the first to arrive and the last to leave the church service.
On Sunday, August 14, 2022, she entered eternal rest with her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family.
Funeral Service for Sister Poole will be Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 150 Pleasant Hill Circle, Westminster, SC 29693, at 11:00 am. Burial in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery. Masked are required. Viewing Friday, August 19, 2022, from 1 to 5 pm at Gilbert Funeral Home.
