Ronald Wallace Obituary

Ronald Edward Wallace Sr, 78, of Seneca S.C., passed away on February 6,2022 due to complications from a fall. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.

Edward answered to many names; Big Ed, Pinky, PaPa and Big Red to name a few. He was a gentle giant that never met a stranger, and he had a smile for everyone. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, uncle and a friend to many.

He was born to Mell and Louise Wallace on October 20, 1943 in the Five Forks community of Anderson County S.C. He graduated from Pendleton High School in 1961 and went on to serve in the U.S Army Reserves. After high school he began working at Pendleton Finishing Plant where he met the love of his life, Glenda. They were married in 1964 and went on to spend 49 wonderful years together. They enjoyed a lifetime of traveling and adventures, He tirelessly cared for her when she became ill until her death. Edward worked for Bellsouth and AT&T until retiring. He was a long time member of Seneca Baptist Church. Edward loved hunting, fishing, wood carving, music, spending time with family and friends, and especially traveling with Glenda. 

Edward was preceded in death by his wife Glenda, his parents, and his brother Steve. He was survived by sons Ron( Denise) Wallace, and Wes( Jennifer) Wallace, Daughter Amy ( Michael) Boaz, granddaughters Juliann and Renee Wallace, Sarah Avery Boaz and grandson Eli Boaz, brother David( Heidi) Wallace, and a sister Reba ( Robert ) Metz, brother-in-law Jackie ( Brenda) Sheriff and Ken ( Donna) Sheriff. In addition he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend Becky Grant and countless other friends. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Seneca Baptist Church, 1080 S. Oak Street, Seneca S.C, with visitations from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Edward was a member of Pendleton High School Future Farmers of America. He earned many ribbons with his livestock and it was an important part of his young life.
